Message	...for me. I couldn't save the OEM knob. I used big channel locks, and couldn't budge it with a towel around it. The only way to get a grip wa sto bite into the leather. It did come off, eventually. By the way, there are a lot of threads, and the turning doesn't get easier until right about the end. Good luck.
